Meet Emily
When people ask me what I do, I tell them I create rock stars. Not the ones that jump around on stage, but the ones who are around you in the office every day.
I became interested in careers because I’ve seen first-hand how being unhappy at work can bleed into all areas of life. It zaps your spark and affects relationships with friends and, most importantly, your own family.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
I believe any individual can live out their highest potential and any company can be a great place to work. But if we’re really going make a significant change – both of these things have to be in alignment. So I approach my job from two angles:
One: Helping students and new grads live a strong life through mental, physical, and professional discipline.
I focus on new grads because I remember (all-too-well) how hard it is to make the transition from college-to-career. Still – this site is for anyone who can’t shake the voice in their head saying they should be doing more with their life and career. If that’s you, I hope you’ll sign-up for Badass Grad, where you’ll receive free advice and support on how to “toughen up” and achieve your goals.
Two: Helping employers understand how to develop and keep their people through training and early career support.
One-third of external hires are no longer with their organization after two years. One-third. Younger workers get an especially bad rap for this, but it’s not that they’re actively looking to jump ship all the time (really, it’s not). They just aren’t getting what they need from you. For resources and specific advice on how to build a culture where your people can flourish, check out the Onboarding Experience, an e-newletter devoted exclusively to the needs of employers.
Thanks for visiting my site. If I can support you or your company along your own journey to rock stardom, please feel free to contact me directly. Also, if you just came here to pick up my bio, sorry you had to read this far. Here you go:
